View Full Version : Buyin New Comp - Any Suggestions PLEASE!

mOnkee
Ok so im ganna be buying a new comp as soon as i get back from Iraq. Im making good money out here (tax free/hazardous duty/overseas pay/ w00t) so price is no matter really. Im ganna try to keep it under 6000 bucks though.

Ive been looking into either Ibuypower, alienware, and even yes a mac cause i do alot of editing and graphics crap. But macs would pretty much exclude me from CS.

Please post some ideas, websites and maybe even hardware / software / programs anything yall think i should look into to make my comp worth every fukin penny. Thanks

For 6K you're going to get a nice rig:D

Are you looking for something pre built or would you want to build it?

With the best technology in a bundle it would be hard to get over 4k if you built it all yourself. Unless you spend it horribly foolish.

ehh..kinda both in a way. www.ibuypower.com gives u a platform to build off of, then u customize just about everything u want on it. If u know of any good computer places in san diego, please tell me so i can check it out when i get back.

Well Monkee, i'm a tech freak sorta, i do work with computers for my school and well, for old computer ABS is the way to go very nice computers! Never had a problem with one, you couldn't go wrong...

Hell, for 6 g's, may as well get an Alienware unit, since those are designed for gaming and have the latest and fastest components. If its good for gaming, it is easily good for graphic designing.

While you're at it, give some of that money to me.

Porkchop
No don't was your money on a pos alien ware when they run intel which blows my dog. goto ibuypower.com and configure ur amd x2 comp.

Mr.
ugh, I hate ABS. Had a lot of issues and their support is crap. I mean really really crap. Waiting 9months+ for a call-back. *sigh*
