i tried doom on the xbox..and yes that freaked me out as well...ended playing it behind my knees :p i only had one shot tho.....still its canny when a game gets you like that :D

DOOM W00TLES!! doom 3 was so damn easy to beat =\ but it was fun x3 i still prefer my splinterCell over it though

I heard F.E.A.R is supposed to be very good. Haven't tried it myself. I think you need a pretty beefy machine to run it nicely though.

MM i kinda like the look of fear...although from the reviews apparently its a bit samey...i am having a couple of problems running quake at the min think i need a sound card and since the steam update halflife2 is driving me nuts with the stuttering...i know theres a way to sort it re drivers and what not :confused: havent a clue though...the technical language kinda goes over my head...if only somebody would bring out an idiots booklet on how to do that stuff :) thanx will look into it..

Yeah, that's kinda the trouble with most FPS games. After a while they all feel the same. Really the only thing that seperates them now is their multiplayer aspect. The next thing is how big a gfx card you need to run it with all the eye-candy.

Saw a review of a quad 7800gt sli setup which only kept the F.E.A.R frames at ~93fps with everything on. That's kinda depressing although I think because of the special drivers were not fully optimized the frames were pretty low.
