ok i got a good computer and a cable modem and yet i get a ping around 200. I dont know what is wrong but i know my ping should be like 10-20. Will someone please tell me what is wrong i am going crazy.

Try connecting to a server where you ping better.

Use the server search function in Steam to locate a server with a better ping. Being physically closer to the node where the server is located will lower your ping dramatically.

Remember to close any programs that suck your bandwidth like a p2p program.
