ok i just got done building my first computer and works great. the first game i bought for it was Counterstrike version 1 anthology which has CS v1 and CS: Condition zero. ok well i installed it properly and played with it then i had to take my comp upstairs where there is no internet connection. now when i try to get in the game it says network error. do i hav to hav an internet connection in order to play CS with bots only

ok well i fixed and now that im in the offline mode it still wont let me play. an error message keeps coming up and saying steam cannot perform while in offline mode . something like tht

ive had trouble with that when i had no internet, you have to have a internet conection, beccause i had about the same promblem when i had no internet connection. best thing to do is move it downstairs or wire your house up, and when you do re-hook it up you may have to reinstall steam, dont know why but i had to.

so if my internets down i cant play single player or bot action at all thats retarded.

hmmm, that's odd. I think there used to be an option to start steam in offline mode but since my internet connection has been behaving itself, I haven't had to test it in a while.

I think some of the recent updates have either removed or obscured this option. Just started up my copy of steam and couldn't find the offline option anywhere.

no no i got steam in offline mode which there is no option for it its just if u hav no connection u'll get it unless u haVNT UPDATED IT. BUT MY PROBLEM IS THAT WHILE IN OFFLINE MODE I CANT PLAY SINGLE PLAYER.
