Does anyone remember ZDNet’s TechTV? Back in 1998, the program was tailored more for PC enthusiasts. Shows like The ScreenSavers and Call for Help, with Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton, really educated the public about PC technology, software, and electronics gear. They also informed everyone about security issues that could not only conflict with the basic functionality of a PC but also endanger the livelihood and safety of your family. It was well ahead of its time and it had a very large audience.
