well i finally went and got myself a new vid card.

Open up your PC and find the model of the motherboard, then go to the manufacture website and download the specs yourself.

I agree with Shimpi, those 'technicians' are for the most part retarded, and not in a good way.

Card should have shipped with an adaptor to convert 4-pin molex (spare lead from your power supply or else daisy-chained into your HDs or Floppy) into whatever you need to plug into the gfx card.

If you can please post a pic of the interior of your case.

1. Never buy PC parts at Best Buy.
2. Never let Geek Squad touch your PC.
3. Get some of your friends whos a GEEK do it for you.

Do you know whether the fan on your GPU is running? If it isn't you should fix that right away before it melts.

aight i found another cord in my comp when i looked again that would hook up to my vid card... i think it is supposed to be fore a 3rd hard drive but im not sure... if this would be a problem let me know. cause it fit perfectly and now the fan is running on it.

Power supply for vid cards getting silly now. GeForce 7x series = TWO power connectors for one card. OY! That means FOUR connectors if you are going to set up SLI.
