so, i just bought a new mic and headphones because i thought my last ones were broke. It ends up that my mic wasnt broke, but instead the port to where it connects to is broke... is there a way to fix it or do i have to by a new sound card?

Unless you're good with soldering you'll have to buy another sound card or else use your onboard.
