I think that server bots suck ass, I feel like playing UT2K or Far Cry, I think that CS and CSS are good and still popular because you play with or against real person not computer controled bots. I know that I dont own the server but If I did I would not have bots on mine. Now I think that the only reason we have bots on the server is to have always someone to play with, but still it sucks cuz you cant even talk to bots... LOL can you? Anyways I thought I share my opinion on bots on this awsome server (even with out boots).

The bots are just on the server as filler. We run 8 bots and they drop out as real people join. If there are 8 real people on the server there will be zero bots. The real benefits of having the bots is thay they keep the server active. Since we've added them we've had more real people playing on the server in one week than we had in the 3 weeks prior.

The problem with a running a Counter Strike sever is that no one joins an empty server. Prior to the bots I would come home and join the empty server (it was empty 9 times of of 10 when I got home). Some nights I could get other peoplpe to join, other nights I would hang around for 1/2 hour and not one person would come in. When the server gets to point where it's almost always active the bots will go away...we're just not there yet.

Actually they do talk, once I called one of them a ****ing moron and he said “negative” then when I asked why negative he said “get out of here, its going to blow” now I don’t know but damn bots smoke something for sure… :-)

Bots skils are very high, people come and leave becvause bots almost own everyone... FYI

yeah those bots own! I was shocked and disturbed at how skilled they were :eek: , compared to the other bots I've been up against in the past.

They are only set the medium level of difficulty:)

If this is medium, I dont want to play against them when they are high level...

The Bots need to be taken off of the server stats. 11 of the top 15 players with the highest kills are bots. I feel that needs to be changed, mainly because the bots stats dont matter and they make me look bad.

There's no way to exclude them right now that I know of. Psycho stats are still crap for Source...they've basically just been hacked to work with Source. That's why some of the features don't work like they are supposed to yet.

At some point, when it's possible, I plan keep a seperate version of the stats for Bots. I want to see what they are doing just don't think they need to be blended in with everyone else's stats.

I like the Bots and they do listen to your radio commands like hold this area or cover me.

Yes they do and a lot of people don't realize that. There's been many nights I wish I had 3 bots on my team instead of 3 humans. Bots listen (for the most part) and believe it or not, actually attempt to carry out the objective most of the time.

Right now, without Bots, the server is empty 80% of the time. People don't join an empty server. Seem like a shame to pay $3 a day for a server that's not being used 80% of the time.

hahaha weve had some long ass 1v1 battles and quiet a few of them I may add.

At bottom of stats page it says powered by Psycho Stats v2.2 but the newest one is v2.3 maybe you should try and upgrade to it?

And I do understand that there are issues with the 2.3 release. If these issues are a major issue for you I suggest you downgrade to 2.2.4 and continue to use that for the time being.

true but he also says that he has another coming soon but has slowed progress on it for other things.
