when i open my console up while playing i keep getting this warning.....is it bad?

also i have a athlon 2600 with 1 gig of ddr ram and a radion 9600 pro 128mb

now should i have that set at open gl in the options or leave it at 3d

i am an idiot desperately trying to improve my fps because i can not keep it over 50 at all........jumps to 80 on some maps but i average 35-45fps

that is shit! and still getting choke and loss between 1-5

Cut terror.mdl file and paste to you desktop. Restart Your PC and steam, steam should update missing file, I think this will fix problem, if not place file back where it was.

I get the same 'problem' too but it doesn't crash me out of the game so I don't care too much about it.

As for things to tweak there are many that can be found. We have a bunch in the rates post. Pretty much any CS related site that has forums will have at least one post regarding what to tweak.

thanx MR but i have tried playing with the rates and it did nothing.....and when it did it did nothing to my fps.......i do not want to take away from the game at the expence of my fps............

what about my radion 9600 pro..........should that be ran on open gl

There is no opengl option for CS: Source.

Direct X is what it is optimized for.

You can force which Direct X version to use. Lower version = faster from rate but lower quality.

I use DX9 at ~30-120 FPS with my radeon 9500 pro.

I set my filter to bi-linear and found that helps things a lot with almost no noticable reduction in quality. That little tid-bit isn't in most of the tweaking artilcles.
