i have noticed that in the last few days the server has rarely got more then 6 or so people in it. it started after the update, so i was wondering if that had something to do with it. it gets a tad boring being slaughtered by the same 4 or 5 people every round, i want new people to shoot me in the face while im not paying attention.

It has been slow since the update. But the server is working fine, so I doubt that can't be the cause.

The bots missing are the only other major thing that has changed. For the better I think, since the server is more stable without them.

Be patient...people are probably just busy.

I think the pros outweight the cons. Whats the point of having a stable server if its always empty.

Have the maps been rotating properly? Every time I look it is on Dust. The way the mod is set up for TW - I have now been kicked from the server many times. Can we make someadjustments? I think it is to harsh. This may be one of the reasons we are seeing less players. I dont think its the bots as mush as what I have mentioned.

Server was probably empty yesterday because of the authentication problems. Will be testing bots again later this week. 4 though, not 8 like before.

well my cs time has been cut down by my job. my shifts are usually of the 10-7 variety, and when I get home FA is usually scrimming. But in the instances where we aren't scrimming, i'll be doing my best to support the CSGZ server and hopping in whenever I can. I prolly wont be in much during my days off, as I am either groveling, trying to get my girl back or sleeping with as many chicks as I can, in case she takes me back.

9pm Monday night. 0/24 on. Somethings going on where ppl arent showing up. Perhaps the tk perhaps they dont like the new mod we are running? Hell~kat logged in a bit earlier and 2 guys were on just exploring the map. Shes over playing on some aim server now. Think im gonna go join her in a bit.

Bottom line guys - people join servers that have other people already playing. It's a catch 22.

When we first launched the server I would "get it started" every day by playing for 30 minutes to an hour...sometimes with only a handful of people. Other people would join then eventually the server would start rocking.

Bots made a huge difference - I didn't have to play for an hour by myself getting other people to join.

It's not the mod or anything else - it's everyone waiting for everyone else to kick it off. I did it almost every day for 2 months so I know that's the case. It's not a theory or a guess.

Bots will be back soon. Server will crash more often, but hey, beats having an empty server. I don't have time to "get the server going" anymore so bots it will be.

At this point I'm not certain it's the lack of bots. Usually people will join a server so long as there are people on it. But if Hood was playing and it never got past 2v2, maybe people aren't finding us on the server list. That would suck.

It's lack of bots, nothing more. I dealt with for 2 months before bots were available and watched the patterns of people joining/dropping for hours a day. I just added the bots and within 1/2 hour the server was packed at 2:00 in the afternoon playing compound:cool:
