I'm new to these fourms, and decided to join in this contest, but I was wondering how many people are taking part of this and/or how many mappers are here?

We jsut announced the contest a few days ago (April 8) so the word is still spreading. I think the mapping community is pretty descent size - I'm sure there are thousands of mappers out there.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and feel free to ask any questions you have. Looking forward to seeing your map.

I have compiled my new map yesterday and today I got to know of this mapping contest here. So I dont have something with csgamezone in my map, but my name is in it. I dont want to compile it again. Is there a chance, that my map will be accepted nevertheless ?

The map has to contain www.csgamezone.com somewhere....we have to stick to that policy to be fair to everyone involved and to help keep piracy of other people's map to a minimum. To date, we have been e-mailed 12 maps that have not been eligible for the contest due to piracy reasons.

The reference to www.csgamezone.com doesn't have to be spectacular - it could be something like graffiti on a wall, words on a picture, a street sign, etc, etc.
