We need the .res file so all the proper textures are downloaded by the players. We like the server to handle it. If players have to do it manually you won't get too many people to play the map.

Yes. I just "soft" deleted it. I can restore it at any time.

I would prefer that as well, but a .res file will work. we have a mirror set up so all downloads from our server are pretty quick...even if it's a bunch of custom stuff.

Well, the negative thing about putting it all in the .bsp is that, in that case, other people can't use them for their own levels anymore, right?

Because I have a moving conveyor that I believe would be very useful for some maps without having to create the texture yourself 'nemore, it just helps speed things up :)

You can provide a .res file...that way you won't have to put it in the bsp. I don't have a preference either way. I just want to make sure the map gets maximum playtime...and without a .res file and custom textures it won't.

This wouldent be a problem, if you _want_ people to have your textures. Just smack them up on a page or something for people to download, its easier for everyone. If you have textures, worth using for someone else, then I'm sure its worth getting a host on some texture page, or maybe your own. Just mention it in the readme :)
